About Commissioner Peirce:  U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester M. Peirce has served in her role since 2018. Prior to joining the SEC, Commissioner Peirce conducted academic research on the regulation of financial markets, served as a Senior Counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, as counsel to SEC Commissioner Paul S. Atkins and as a Staff Attorney at the SEC, as well as working in private practice and clerking for the Court of Federal Claims.
